Maryland Delegate and Senatorial Scholarships (External Opportunity)
This is an external scholarship opportunity and is not administered by Coppin State University. Students must apply directly through their Maryland State Senator and Delegates.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Find Your Legislative and Senatorial Districts:

• Visit the Maryland Board of Elections website:
• Enter your home address.
• Click on the “My Voting Districts” tab.
• Locate your:
• Legislative District number
• Senatorial District number

2. Identify Your Maryland State Representatives:

• Go to the Maryland General Assembly website: https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/
• Click on “Members” on the left-hand side.
• Use your district numbers to find:
• 1 State Senator
• 3 State Delegates

3. Contact Your Legislators:

• Email all four representatives (1 Senator + 3 Delegates).
• Politely request information about how to apply for their legislative and senatorial scholarships.
• You may reapply each year you are enrolled in college.

Important Notes:
These scholarships are funded and awarded individually by each representative. Deadlines, application processes, and eligibility criteria vary by legislator. It is the student’s responsibility to follow up and submit all required documents on time.
